YOUR SPACE. YOUR SAY.

What we keep,
and what we don’t.

Us holds the private things two people say to each other. This page says exactly what that means — what is stored, who can read it, and how to take it back.

Last updated 13 September 2026.

What the app stores

Your account. An email address and a password, so you can sign back in. Your first name, because your partner sees it. Your date of birth, only if you give one — it decides whether adult-oriented content is available to you at all.

What you write. Answers to questions, Secret Wishes, replies, notes on memories, and the photos you add to your timeline.

Your settings. Your comfort level, the categories you have switched off, and your notification preferences. These are yours alone; your partner is never shown them.

How the app is used. Counts and timings — that a Daily was answered, that a reveal was opened. Never the content of what was written.

We do not collect your location. Photos routinely carry the coordinates of where they were taken, so every image is re-encoded on upload and that data is removed before it is stored. We do not collect your contacts, and we do not use advertising identifiers.

Who can see it

Your partner sees what you share with them, and nothing else. That distinction is the product:

An answer is not sent to your partner’s device before you have both answered and one of you has opened the reveal. Not hidden on screen — not sent at all.

A Secret Wish kept private is never sent. If you choose to share a hint, your partner receives the hint you picked and previewed, and never the wish behind it. Editing the original afterwards does not change what they are reading.

Comfort levels are private. A session runs at the lower of your two settings, and neither of you is told whose setting decided it.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. It is held by the companies that run our servers, storage and notification delivery, who process it on our behalf and for no purpose of their own.

Our staff cannot read it. The administrative tools we use to manage questions and review reported content have no page that can display an answer, a wish, a reply, a memory or a photo. That is enforced in the software, not by policy alone.

Notifications

A notification tells you that something happened — that your partner answered, that a reveal is ready. It never contains what they wrote. A phone on a table shows a nudge, not a confidence.

Leaving, and deleting

Disconnecting from a partner ends both people’s access to everything shared, at the same moment. Your own Secret Wishes stay with you and become private again. Shared history is kept for thirty days in case the disconnection was a mistake, then permanently deleted.

Deleting your account is in Profile → Account. Your name, email and date of birth are cleared immediately, every signed-in device is signed out, your Secret Wishes are deleted, and any Couple Space you were in is ended for both of you. The remaining record is permanently removed after thirty days.

You can also write to us and ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be corrected or deleted.

Keeping it safe

Everything travels encrypted. Passwords are stored hashed and cannot be read back, by us or by anyone. On your phone, your sign-in credentials live in the device keychain. Photos are never given a public address — each view is checked against whether you are still in that Couple Space.

No system is perfect. If something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

Children

Us is not for people under 13, and we do not knowingly keep accounts for them. Adult-oriented content requires both partners to have confirmed an eligible date of birth and to have chosen a comfort level that allows it.

This website

The early-access form saves your email in your browser’s local storage by default — it is not sent to a server unless live signup is connected, and the form tells you which mode it is in. You can remove it with the form’s own button or by clearing this site’s data.

Alex, Jamie, and the answers and memories shown here are fictional. This site has no analytics, advertising trackers or social-media embeds.

Changes, and reaching us

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with your information, we will say so in the app before it takes effect.
